As I follow many brave people fighting against ALS, I came across a tweet from a daughter whose father has this disease and prays every day (he can still talk). I thought about it and honestly because of diseases like ALS, I am losing total faith in God.
I’ve never been religious, but I was thinking there was some kind of good force somewhere, however now I can’t believe that if such a power existed somewhere, it would allow some good people to be paralyzed, to breathe only through a tracheostomy, to be able to move only their eyes, to die in pain, to leave their loved ones without them. So now I trust the scientists and hope they find a cure! I don’t know people diagnosed with ALS, but their stories touch me and I don’t want any more such sad fates to happen!!!
